Description
Sledging is a great snow activity for young and old. There are various runs in Grindelwald that are suitable for this. From First, you can choose from two runs.
Take the Firstbahn from Grindelwald up to the summit. Once at the top, there are two routes you can take. On the one hand, after a 2.5-hour hike, you can enjoy the longest toboggan run in the world, the Big Pintenfritz. This takes you for about 40 minutes from the L Faulhorn down into the valley. On the way, you will pass the beautiful Bachalpsee lake. In good snow conditions, you can ski all the way down to the village of Grindelwald.
Alternatively, there is a toboggan run directly from First. This runs parallel to the ski slope as far as Schreckfeld. From there, the route continues towards Egg. Finally, you ride down a fun steep section to Bort.
Swiss Activities Tip
To warm up again on the way, you can make a stop at one of the mountain restaurants on both routes. On the Big Pintenfritz, the Bussalp mountain restaurant is ideal for this. On the alternative route, there is the Berggasthaus Bort. Both restaurants offer various specialties and hot drinks.
