Description
This guided day trip takes you through Eastern Switzerland using public transport. In St. Gallen, you'll explore the UNESCO World Heritage Abbey District, the St. Gallen Cathedral, and the famous Abbey Library.
Then you'll ride the Mühlegg funicular and continue towards Appenzell. Along the way, you'll visit a traditional cheese dairy and sample local cheese. In Appenzell, you can stroll through the old town with its brightly painted houses.
The tour combines culture, regional traditions, and scenic views with train journeys across Eastern Switzerland. You'll travel privately, accompanied by a local Swiss geographer. Optional lunch is available either in St. Gallen or at a rustic restaurant next to the cheese dairy.
