Chur Christmas Market 2026

The Chur Christmas market lasts only two days in 2026: on Friday 27 November, 14:00–21:00, and on Saturday 28 November, 11:00–19:00, over 150 stalls stand in the lanes and on the squares of the old town. According to the City of Chur, it is one of the largest in Switzerland. From 27 November to 23 December the Christkindlimarkt also runs on Bahnhofstrasse and Poststrasse with around 40 to 45 market huts, daily 11:00–21:00, the goods stalls until 19:00.

Churer Weihnachtsmarkt
Old town: Obere Gasse and Untere Gasse, Ochsenplatz, Kornplatz, Casinoplatz, Majoranplatz, Martinsplatz and Poststrasse · over 150 stalls
On the Friday and Saturday before the first Sunday in Advent, over 150 stalls fill the old town, from Poststrasse via Kornplatz and Obere Gasse to Martinsplatz. The association gives preference to exhibitors from Chur and the surrounding area who make their goods themselves: crafts, baked goods, candles, wooden toys and mulled wine.

Christkindlimarkt Chur
Bahnhofstrasse and Poststrasse (as far as Postplatz) · around 40 to 45 market huts
From Bahnhofplatz along Bahnhofstrasse to Poststrasse stand around 40 to 45 market huts with gifts and food. The fondue hut on Postplatz serves cheese fondue, and there is a supporting programme with a live forge, bell ringers (Schellner), town drummers, a youth band and St Nicholas on a motorbike.

Without a car
The Christkindlimarkt starts right at Bahnhofplatz; it is 5 to 10 minutes on foot to the old town.

- Directly from Chur station: the market stretches from Bahnhofplatz along Bahnhofstrasse to Poststrasse.
