Bellinzona Christmas Market 2026

The Mercatini di Natale take place on Sundays 13 and 20 December 2026, each day 10:00–18:00. Almost 200 stalls with blue-and-red roofs stand from the lower Viale Stazione through the old town to around Piazza Indipendenza; the organiser is the Società dei Commercianti di Bellinzona. From 26 November 2026 to 6 January 2027 «Natale in Città» also runs, with the Villaggio di Natale on Piazza del Sole. On 13 December the small market in the hamlet of Curzútt above Monte Carasso is also open from 16:00 to 20:00.

Mercatini di Natale a Bellinzona
Lower part of Viale Stazione, old town and a circuit around Piazza Indipendenza · almost 200 stalls
On the two Sundays before Christmas, almost 200 stalls with blue-and-red roofs stand in the centre: from the lower Viale Stazione through the old town and along a circular route around Piazza Indipendenza. There are also music and food stalls.

Mercatino di Natale a Curzútt
Nucleo di Curzútt, hamlet above Monte Carasso (city of Bellinzona) · around ten stalls
In the hamlet of Curzútt on the slope above Monte Carasso, around ten selected stalls stand for one evening. For children there is a creative workshop and readings. You go up by the Monte Carasso–Mornera cable car or by shuttle bus from the valley station.

Two markets on 13 December
The city market closes at 18:00, the market in Curzútt lasts until 20:00. You go up by cable car or by shuttle bus from Monte Carasso.
Without a car
It is about 5 minutes on foot from Bellinzona station to the lower Viale Stazione, about 10 minutes to Piazza Indipendenza.
How to get there
- About a 5-minute walk from Bellinzona station along Viale Stazione to its lower part, where the market begins; about 10 minutes to Piazza Indipendenza.
- From Bellinzona station take bus 2 or 311 to «Urènn/Funivia» or «Cunvént», then walk 5–10 minutes to the valley station of the Monte Carasso–Mornera cable car; Curzútt is the first stop. On market day a shuttle bus also runs from the valley station.
