Maggiatal Val Grande canyoning for beginners and advanced canyoneers

This magnificent gorge hike is perfect for sporty beginners and repeaters. Discover the Val Grande in the Maggia Valley with lots of fun and adrenaline. The Val Grande is one of the most diverse gorges in the Maggia Valley and offers tropical flair, wild flora and emerald-green water.

You will meet your guide in Gordevio and get to know him. First, you walk up to the entry point together for around 30 minutes. At the access point, you will not only be fully equipped, but also introduced to the most important safety rules. Abseiling training, test jump and slide are part of the standard procedure.

The first abseiling point prepares you perfectly for the first waterfall of the tour. You jump, climb, slide and swim through the fantastic gorge and enjoy pure nature under the guidance of your guide. After the last waterfall, from which you abseil down, it is only a short walk to the car that will take you back to the starting point.

Practical information:

• Take off jewelry and do not wear cotton fabrics
• Wear glasses: contact lenses or glasses strap, waterproof case

You can even repeat some of the jumps in this versatile canyon! The 25-metre-high waterfall from which you will abseil is called "Little Niagara" by the locals.
