Description

The tour through the Saxeten Gorge in the Bernese Oberland is the perfect introduction to a unique water adventure. At the meeting point, you'll meet your guides. Together, you'll prepare the equipment for canyoning. Then, you’ll drive about 10 minutes by car to the starting point of the canyon, the Saxeten Gorge.

At the canyon’s starting point, you’ll receive detailed instructions. You'll spend the next 1.5 to 2 hours in the canyon. There, you’ll do optional jumps, slide down natural rock slides, rappel from abseil points, and swim through the river. All obstacles on this tour can be bypassed, so you can decide how far you want to go.

The tour begins with a 10-meter rappel. The highlight is a 5-meter jump into the water, which you can also skip if you prefer. The other jumps range between 1 and 2 meters deep. No canyoning tour would be complete without a rock slide. The Superman rock slide is the longest on the route.

At the end of the tour, you’ll receive a refreshing drink and be driven back to the base.

The experience was great, however one of our guides was very mean and condescending.

The tour was great. The group was a bit large, which sometimes caused waiting times until everyone was down or had rappelled. Overall, though, it was a top-notch tour.
