Description
On the alpine ibex nature safari, you start in Sigriswil with the Niederhorn cable car heading towards the mountain station. Even during the ride, the view opens up over Lake Thun and the surrounding mountain scenery. Once you arrive at the top, you meet your experienced nature guide and set off into the alpine ibex's habitat.
On the trails around Niederhorn, you search for the local ibex colony. With some patience and a trained eye, you spot them on rocky ledges or grassy slopes. In addition to ibex, you might also encounter chamois, marmots, or birds of prey native to the area.
Along the way, you learn more about the alpine ibex's habitat, behaviour, and history in the Alps. The blend of wildlife watching, panoramic views over Lake Thun, and alpine landscapes makes this trek especially memorable. With plenty of time for observation and photo stops, you get to experience the local wildlife at Niederhorn up close.
