Ufnau monastery island is a place of peace, nature and history. Set in the middle of Lake Zurich, it invites you to pause – and to experience art and culture in a special context. «Zeitraum» brings together past and present, landscape and perception. Works by Carlo Borer, Carla Hohmeister and Beate Frommelt, Micha Aregger and Pius Morger meet a place that carries meaning in itself. And they relate to the landscape, the history of this island and, not least, to you as the viewer. In cooperation with Rapperswil Zürichsee Tourismus, guided tours of «art ufnau» take place regularly. The tours also share interesting facts and anecdotes about Ufnau island and its history. The meeting point is the arrival jetty of the Zürichsee Schifffahrtsgesellschaft (ZSG) on Ufnau island. The tours are timed to the ZSG timetable. Arrival by boat taxi is also possible by prior booking (www.schiffstaxi.ch). Outward and return travel is arranged individually.
