On Saturday, 12 September, the Zuger Depot Technikgeschichte in Neuheim opens its doors from 10:00 to 16:00. Admission is free. The Zuger Depot Technikgeschichte (ZDT) in Neuheim brings together a wealth of exhibits from the canton of Zug’s technical, military, fire service, transport and industrial history across three floors. On Saturday, 12 September, you can visit all these treasures free of charge. The ZDT opens the doors of the former arsenal at Sihlbruggstrasse 51. From 10:00 to 16:00, the exhibition is open to the public. Experienced ZDT experts present the gems of the collection. Various representatives of the ZDT and the supporting associations will be on site on the Open Day and will be happy to answer questions about individual exhibits and about the ZDT in general. Admission to the ZDT is free on the Open Day. In the festival catering area, you can get something to eat and drink. Various drinks and grilled specialities are on offer. The exhibition is also suitable for families with children. Free parking is available at the ZDT. You can also get there easily by ZVB bus no. 632 from Baar station to Neuheim Sarbach. You can also combine a visit to the Open Day with a walk. The Zuger Depot Technikgeschichte In the former arsenal at Sihlbruggstrasse 51, the five supporting associations of the Zuger Depot Technikgeschichte (ZDT) present their collectables and exhibits. Since 2009, the interest group for preserving old equipment, materials and records of the volunteer fire brigade of Zug, the Industriepfad Lorze association, the Military Historical Foundation of the canton of Zug, the Military Motorists’ Society of the canton of Zug and the Orion-Club (association for the preservation of old vehicles from the transport sector of the canton of Zug) have been working together and have turned the ZDT into a modern depot with an integrated workshop, documenting the fire service, industrial, military and transport history of the canton of Zug in a unique way.
