“Chairs – crazy” summer exhibition by Förderverein Tourismus Laufenburg
Sobre este local
This summer, there are some very special eye-catchers to discover in Laufenburg: imaginatively decorated, brightly painted and surprisingly designed chairs line the old town streets of both Laufenburg – on the Swiss and the German side of the Rhine. The Förderverein Tourismus Laufenburg initiative invites locals and visitors alike to experience the historic streets anew. Where cobblestones and medieval façades usually shape the scene, the “crazy chairs” add cheerful accents: sometimes painted artistically, sometimes staged with humour, sometimes interpreted in a surprisingly creative way. Every chair tells its own little story. Some make you smile, others make you marvel – and together they turn a walk through the old town into a small discovery tour. If you stroll attentively through the streets, you will keep finding new details, hidden works of art and charming photo spots. Combine your walk with a visit to the shops, cafés and restaurants in the old town and enjoy the special atmosphere of Laufenburg – where two countries are linked by a bridge and culture, history and creativity meet. Set off, wander along and discover the colourful variety of chairs in the streets of both Laufenburg. It is worth stopping, marvelling – and perhaps taking a little inspiration home with you.
