The powerful depictions of angels, bright colours and powerful symbols of light seem to wake you, bless you and send you on your way. Maria Hafner's angel images tell of human encounters with the messengers of God. These encounters are often unsettling. They call you on your way, to protect life, to bring light into the darkness, to help people grow. Each depiction invites you to stop, to look and to reinterpret your own path through life in the light of the angels. Visitors are invited not only to view art, but also to let themselves be touched and accompanied inwardly. During the Advent and Christmas season, the Mattli Antoniushaus provides the ideal setting for this: a place of silence, reflection and spiritual deepening. In this atmosphere, the angel images can have a special effect – as prompts to pause, meditate or simply marvel.
