For the 3rd time this summer, the ApéroSounds@Vitznau concerts take place on Saturday evening in Vitznau. Zontania kicks off the concert series: the name says it all, because Zontania means “joy of life” – and that is exactly what the musicians bring to the stage with every note. When Zontania plays, it is not just music – it is a celebration! Deeply rooted in the blues and at the same time open to new tonal colours, the band moves with playful ease through the many-faceted world of jazz. Their music is a lively mix of blues, soul and traditional jazz – performed with passion, authenticity and a great deal of feeling. The repertoire includes well-known classics as well as hidden gems from the 60s to the present day. Zontania knows how to bring songs back to life while giving them its very own character. After last year’s successful premiere, we look forward to another musical and energetic evening with Zontania.
