November continues with a special treat as Berlin based Steph DePrez brings her blend of Opera and standup for our first international headliner of the year and she is supported by the wonderfuly absurd and inimitable Ted Hooijberg!
Headliner - Steph DePrez
American soprano Stephanie DePrez moved to Europe to sing opera. Now, she combines classical singing with stand-up comedy in a singular stage experience that's thrilling audiences across Europe, from Barcelona to Oslo. She's been the soprano soloist at Carnegie Hall and the Berlin Konzerthaus, and opened for megastars Michelle Wolf, Fortune Feimster, David Cross, SNL writer Rosebud Baker, and viral sensation Kyla Cobbler. This fall she made her cruise debut as a Guest Artist with Virgin Voyages. A UCLA-trained opera singer and Groundlings and UCB alum, her sets combine virtuosic singing with hilarious, self-deprecating honesty. Her work has been featured by BBC News, Chortle, Die Tageszeitung (taz), and Afar Magazine, and her online videos about opera and dating have over 5M views.

Ted is an odd little man, scientifically known as a short king. Hailing from the marion county foster care program, ted was adopted by two straight people and brought to Europe to live the high life. Now ted is committed to not getting committed (again), all while perhaps getting a giggle here and there.”
Host - Brian Tynan
Brian Tynan is an American from Tennessee who has been living in Europe since 2010. Hes been in Switzerland since 2021 because he found someone's C permit on a train and they look alike. He first came to Europe for love, but stayed for the free health care and lack of guns. The thing he misses most from the states is Mexican food. He enjoys disc golf, snowboarding and other hobbies which will definitely never earn him money or make his family proud. He started standup just before the pandemic while living in Czech Republic because he loves a challenge is great at bad timing. He picked it back up in 2022 after moving to Switzerland because he doesn't learn from his mistakes. His humor is a mix of political, social and family commentary tinged with the insights of an expat living, loving and learning in different language and cultural environments for most of his adult life.
