The village Unterterzen belongs to the municipality Quarten. It is situated at 500 m above sea level directly on the beautiful Lake Walen. Due to its unique location between the lake and the mountains, Unterterzen and the immediate surroundings are a very popular vacation destination. The area is situated in the foothills of the Alps.
