Rapperswil-Jona is located on the upper shore of Lake Zurich. The beautiful old town, sights, Mediterranean flair and the famous Circus Knies children's zoo attract many visitors. The city is also known as the "Rose City". Roses bloom here not only in three gorgeous rose gardens. They bloom in every park, on public squares and even on the city's coat of arms. Besides the roses, the city is also characterized by a castle that towers over the city. Leisure activities are definitely not lacking here, the combination of culture, lake and mountains offer great recreational opportunities both in winter and summer.
