Quarten lies mainly south of Lake Walen. However, part of the municipality also extends north of the lake to the Leistchamm. Quarten belongs to the foothills of the Alps and extends between 419 m.a.s.l. and 2523 m.a.s.l. Thanks to its unique location between the lake and the mountains, Quarten is a popular vacation destination and offers a variety of leisure activities. Whether a visit to the car-free Quinten, a mountain bike tour in the mountains, a hike with panoramic views or any water sports activities, the community really has everything to offer.
