Oberägeri is located by Lake Ägeri in the canton of Zug, surrounded by hills and mountains. With about 6000 residents, it offers a peaceful, rural atmosphere close to Zug and Zurich. Lake Ägeri invites you to enjoy recreational activities like swimming and hiking. The village itself is characterized by traditional Swiss chalets and modern residential buildings, while still keeping its village charm. Oberägeri has a good infrastructure with schools, shops, and restaurants. The view of the surrounding Alps, which shape the region's panorama, is especially impressive. Historically, Oberägeri recalls the Battle of Morgarten in 1315 during the Old Zurich War.
