Description
This guided glacier trek starts at Jungfraujoch and takes you into the glacier surroundings of the Great Aletsch Glacier. You hike right through the Jungfrau Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage area and reach Konkordiaplatz via the Jungfrau Firn.
Then you climb the stairs up to Konkordiahütte, where you experience the mountain landscape around the Great Aletsch Glacier. After that, the tour leads you back onto the glacier and continues towards Märjelensee.
At Märjelensee, you leave the ice giant behind. You return to civilisation through the Tälli Tunnel. This glacier trek connects well-known glacier sections with a high alpine route within the UNESCO World Heritage site.
Itinerary:
- Day 1: Start Jungfraujoch -> Jungfrau Firn -> Konkordiaplatz -> stairs to Konkordiahütte (overnight stay).
- Day 2: Descent to the glacier -> Märjelensee -> Tälli Tunnel -> Return.
