Description
You start your day in Lauterbrunnen, where waterfalls cascade down cliffs and Alpine peaks reach into the clouds. Your English-speaking driver welcomes you on a tour through the Bernese Alps, connecting famous highlights and quiet spots.
The first stop is Grindelwald, a well-known mountain village in front of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. You stroll through streets lined with flower-decorated chalets, take a coffee break, or admire the Eiger north face. Then you continue to Interlaken, nestled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Paragliders circle above, horse-drawn carriages pass through Höhematte Park, and the turquoise Aare River flows through town. If you want, you can make a short detour to Harder Kulm for views of both lakes and the Jungfrau massif.
The route continues to Thun with its old town, river bridges, and castle overlooking the rooftops. A short walk through the lanes or along the promenade offers great photo opportunities. Following the panoramic road along Lake Thun, you pass vineyards and small villages on the way to Blausee. There, you wander over wooden footbridges, watch fish in the clear water, and experience a peaceful spot in the middle of the forest.
Next, you reach Iseltwald, a small lakeside village known for its pier and tranquil atmosphere. The turquoise lake and nearby mountains shape the scene. The final stop is Brienz, famous for woodcarving and its lakeside location. You walk along the shore and see the water change between green and blue. If time allows, you also stop at the viewpoint near the Grandhotel Giessbach for a view of the Giessbach Falls.
The return trip to Lauterbrunnen follows the lake once again. This concludes a varied day filled with nature, villages, and impressive views.
