“Everything was great, friendly staff including the captain, a good extensive brunch buffet, and a beautiful boat trip.”

Jakobsbad
Jakobsbad is a scattered settlement in the Appenzellerland and a stage place of the famous Jakobsweg. The place got its name from the Jakobsbrunnen spring, which rises near the chapel to St. Jacob on the slope of the Kronberg. A convent of the Capuchin nuns as a branch of the Franciscan order is located in Jakobsbad. The valley station of the cable car Jakobsbad-Kronberg is located in the village. Near the valley station you will find an adventure land for families with a fairy tale world, a bobsleigh run and ziplines. A barefoot path also leads to Gontenbad.
