About this route
Vom geschäftigen Herisau geht’s weiter Richtung Appenzeller Mittelland. Zwei Schluchten querend, vorbei am ehemaligen Landsgemeindeort Hundwil, dem lauschigen Badeplatz Strom in der Sitterschlucht sowie dem Kloster Wonnenstein gelangt man nach Teufen. Hier zeugen Kaufmanns- und Fabrikantenhäuser im Rokokostil vom Wohlstand früherer Zeiten.
