Grächen

Grächen is a picturesque village situated on a sunny terrace high above the Mattertal valley in Valais. The village offers impressive views of the surrounding Alps and is a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers. Sights include the historic pilgrimage churches and the charming village center with traditional chalets. There are numerous hiking trails in Grächen that lead to beautiful viewpoints of the surrounding four-thousand-metre peaks and idyllic mountain lakes. In winter, the village is transformed into a skiing and snowboarding paradise with perfectly groomed pistes.
