Description

On this interactive scavenger hunt in St. Gallen, you can explore the historic old town using an app on your smartphone while solving exciting and informative puzzles and tasks.

You and your group can spontaneously go on a puzzle tour, as you decide the start time yourselves. You only need one ticket per person for the interactive game and a smartphone with the corresponding app. The app guides you through an adventure filled with interesting information about the city, fun tasks, and tricky puzzles.

The scavenger hunt lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours and starts at Gallusplatz in St. Gallen. Along the way, you’ll discover many sights in St. Gallen, including the cathedral, the Red Square, and the Stiftsbezirk. Your tour ultimately ends at the Red Square near the Raiffeisenbank.

Practical Information:

  • Not suitable for: wheelchair users, strollers
  • Start and end locations are not the same
  • Smartphone with internet connection required
  • Each player needs a ticket
  • The game can generally be played in the dark, but certain inscriptions may be less legible
  • Dogs (without a ticket) are allowed
  • Each person can choose in which language they want to play the trail after entering the game code on their phone. So it's possible to play in a multilingual group without making separate bookings.

Swiss Activities Tip

St. Gallen is famous for its delicious Olma bratwurst. The sausage is made from veal and pork, milk, and various spices like salt, pepper, and mace (nutmeg flower). Treat yourself to a delightful moment on your tour and have a St. Gallen bratwurst for lunch. But be careful! Never order a bratwurst with mustard or ketchup; otherwise, the locals will be offended…

Info for school classes

  • A class can have a maximum of 25 people (students and adult companions).
  • It’s a good idea to split the class into several teams, ideally with a maximum of 8 people per team.
  • After booking, you'll receive a code for the game. This code can be used by all participants, so a maximum of 25 times. By this time, it should already be clear which students belong to which team.
  • One person from the team clicks the "Create Team" button and gives the team a name. The team members click "Join Team" and join the team using the team name.
  • The teams should start with an interval of about 2-3 minutes so they can't just follow each other.
  • Generally, everyone plays on their own smartphone. By answering the questions on their own phones, participants compete against each other and see a leaderboard with all players. This adds to the fun.
  • If not every child in a class has an internet-enabled smartphone, the game can still be played. Those children can join another child on their smartphone. Each team should have the same number of smartphones. Each team needs at least one smartphone.
