Description

With this ticket you reach Ristis from Engelberg with the cable car. It is a 65-person cable car and takes about 3 minutes to Ristis. From Ristis you take the chairlift to the Brunnihütte at the Härzlisee.

You have different possibilities for your leisure activities in winter:

  • winter hiking, snowshoeing
  • climbing garden Bettlerstock
  • sledging or skiing

You will find the valley station next to the Klostermatte, the ski practice area. The ski bus stop is also located here.

Route mountain railway

  • Bottom station: Engelberg (1016 m above sea level)
  • Middle station: Ristis (1605 m above sea level)
  • top station: Brunnihütte (1861 m above sea level)

Practical information:

  • Large parking lot at the valley station Engelberg (5 CHF per day)
  • A free bus runs from Engelberg train station to the Brunni valley station in winter
  • The cable car is open depending on the weather, therefore it is important to check the weather conditions before arrival
  • Dogs require their own tickets

Swiss Activities Tip

Directly behind the mountain station Ristis lies the children's adventure park Yeti Park. Children can sled and ski here on the practice area and improve their skills

Timetable

The summer season ends at the beginning of December and begins anew at the beginning of May. As a rule, the cable car and the chairlift run daily.

Air cableway

  • Departure: every 20 minutes
  • First departure from Engelberg: 08:20 a.m
  • Last departure from Ristis: 17:00 hrs

Chairlift

  • First departure from Ristis: 08:40 a.m
  • Last departure from Brunnihütte: 16:15 hrs

out of service due to revision work

  • Beginning of April until beginning of May

With pram or wheelchair

The panoramic hiking trail between Ristis and Brunnihütte is passable with an all-terrain pram or wheelchair. Between Ristis and Rigidal the path is asphalt. From Rigidal to the Brunnihütte it is a gravel path that requires some strength. Downhill it is easier.

All other paths are not passable with a wheelchair or a pram.

Please also note the following:

  • Wheelchairs and prams are taken on the cable car.
  • folding wheelchairs and folding prams can be taken on the chairlift
  • the Berglodge Ristis is wheelchair accessible incl. WC

I paid a total of 81.90 CHF. When I arrived at the Brunnibahn in Engelberg and showed my tickets, they told me they couldn’t scan these tickets, don’t work with your website, and didn’t even recognize them. So the tickets were useless, and I essentially paid 81.90 francs for nothing. I had to buy new tickets on the spot.
