Description

The one-day class upgrade is perfect for you if you have either a GA or a 2nd class day ticket plus a half-fare card. With the class upgrade, you can treat yourself to a one-day upgrade and use all public transport vehicles in 1st class. If you also book a bike day ticket or a dog day ticket, the 1st class applies automatically to those as well.

Benefits of 1st class:

  • More legroom, wider seats, individually adjustable seats
  • Power outlets in every compartment
  • Seating arrangements for two or single passengers
  • Cars with business zones and quiet zones

Make sure to check the timetable for the services available on the chosen train.

On the go with a wheelchair

  • Travelers using wheelchairs increasingly find transport with low-floor access.
  • The SBB Callcenter Handicap arranges assistance for transfers where platforms haven’t been raised or floors aligned yet. It helps you plan barrier-free travel or if you need support on the go.
  • Ships are almost entirely wheelchair accessible in 2nd class, provided the wheelchairs are manual. Access in 1st class is only partial.

Out and about with a stroller

  • If possible, you should use a foldable stroller. It fits almost anywhere.

On the Road with Your Dog

  • Dogs up to a shoulder height of 30 cm travel for free. Condition: the dog is placed in a suitable basket or transport box and carried as hand luggage under the seat. As soon as it is no longer in the container, it needs its own ticket.
  • For all other dogs, a ticket is generally required. As a combination with a day ticket, a dog day ticket is recommended.
