Historic Pinut via ferrata
About this place
Difficulty K 1-2. A rather easy route, comfortably secured with steps and 27 ladders, but very airy in its lowest section. Valley village / starting point Fidaz, above Flims (GR). Approach A blue sign in Fidaz points the way to the via ferrata. A path through the forest takes you up to the foot of the rock face (approx. 30 minutes). Via ferrata This historic via ferrata is a fascinating nature experience — and it is suitable for children aged 12 and over. It leads from Fidaz via the Pinut to the Flimserstein. With the necessary respect and the right safety measures, the Pinut via ferrata offers thrills without risk. One highlight is certainly the natural tunnel, around 20 metres long. Just below it, there is a large hole which, although covered by a ladder laid flat across it, still gives you exhilarating views down into the depth. Descent Descend via an old alpine path. In Bargis, you join the road coming up from Fidaz. The marked hiking trail takes you back to Fidaz away from the road (approx. 2 hours).Area: FilmsPeak/high point: Servetsch Pinut (2054m)Walking time: 5 hours (incl. 2 1/2 hours ascent and descent)Elevation gain: 870 metres (via ferrata 480 metres) Good to know The via ferrata may be closed seasonally, for example in spring/late autumn.
