From Bern: Private Lakes and Waterfalls Tour

Your English-speaking driver will pick you up in Bern and accompany you on an exciting journey through the Bernese Oberland. After about an hour, you'll arrive at the turquoise Lungerersee, surrounded by forests and wooden chalets. A viewpoint above the valley offers you your first wide view of the landscape.

From there, you continue to Meiringen. Here, you can either visit the Sherlock Holmes Museum or explore the Aare Gorge. Wooden walkways wind through the narrow gorge, alongside the sound of glacial water rushing past the rocky walls.

Next, you drive to Brienz by the lake. The village is well known for its woodcarving art, peaceful lakeside promenade, and its unique position between lake and mountains. Then, you head to Iseltwald, with its small harbour and the famous landing stage on Lake Brienz.

Later, you reach Interlaken, situated between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Here, you have time to go for a stroll, take a break at a café, or simply enjoy the views of the Jungfrau region's mountains.

In the afternoon, the route follows the north shore of Lake Thun. Along the way, you'll stop at the St. Beatus Caves, featuring a waterfall, and at Oberhofen Castle, whose tower stands right at the water's edge. To finish, you visit Thun with its old town, castle, and riverside cafés, before relaxing on your return to Bern.
