Diese Etappe führt ab Plaffeien quer durch den Kanton Freiburg bis nach Romont. Dabei überquert der Veloweg die Ärgera/La Gérine und damit den Röstigraben, durchquert hügeliges Gelände und passiert die Spitze des Lac de la Gruyère sowie zahlreiche Freiburger Dörfer.
