Description

On this winter tour, you explore the snowy mountains of St. Antönien in a small group. You walk with snowshoes and pull your equipment behind you on a pulka.

In the evening, you set up a tent camp with the group above the tree line. You cook your meal together around the fire and spend the night in your sleeping bag inside the tent.

After breakfast, you embark on an easy snowshoe tour without any luggage. Finally, you pack everything onto the pulka and return to civilisation.

What is a pulka?

A pulka is a special cargo sled used while snowshoeing to transport gear. It is usually pulled behind you with a harness or rope, so you don’t have to carry heavy equipment on your back but instead "pull” it. The harness is typically attached around the waist, and depending on the terrain, a flexible pulling cord or rigid frame can be used to help control the pulka’s movement.
