Snowshoe hiking with fondue fun at the summit from St. Antönien Prättigau

Starting in the mountain village of St. Antönien (1450 m above sea level), you will go with a local mountain guide to one of the surrounding peaks.

Once at the top, you will build a table out of snow together with the other participants. This is accompanied by benches, which are also built from snow

After a fondue at the snow table, you walk back down to St. Antönien together.

Meeting point: St. Antönien square, 9 a.m

Equipment: Warm and waterproof clothing is as important as a backpack and sun protection. The technical material will be provided

• Walking time: approx. 5-6 hours
• Vertical meters up: 500
• Meters of altitude descent: 500

Return: St. Antönien

You will be back in St. Antönien around 16:00.

Practical information:

• Suitable for: less experienced snowshoe hikers
• Required: medium to normal fitness to cope with 500 meters of ascent and descent
• This tour is mainly offered on Sundays
• Small groups of 4-8 people

In St. Antönien you will find several good hotels. One of them is the Hotel Madrisajoch. The rooms are alpine furnished and have wooden floors and balconies. The hotel has a sauna with wellness area

The Gemsli mountain inn in St. Antönien is a guesthouse that offers single and double rooms as well as a pleasant massage.

For the snowshoe hike you will need:

• warm fleece and sweater (enough warm clothes)
• mountain boots (moon boots are not suitable)
