Palm Express Postbus ticket from St. Moritz or Lugano

The Postbus on route 631 is a Panorama Express that runs once a day between St. Moritz and Lugano. It has been given the beautiful name PalmExpress because the journey goes from glaciers to palm trees.

On this journey, you pass several lakes and feel the increasing Mediterranean influence. After Lake Silvaplana and Lake Sils, you reach the Maloja Pass. A detour to Italy takes you along Lake Mezzola and Lake Como. At Monte Brè, you cross the border into Switzerland again, see Lake Lugano and arrive in Lugano.

As this Postbus only runs once a day, we recommend that you don't get off on the way.

• Suitable for wheelchairs, baby carriages and dogs

Looking towards Lugano, you can see Lake Silaplana, Lake Sils, Lake Como and Lake Lugano on the left-hand side of the window. On the right-hand side you have a direct view of Lago di Mezzola.

• The Postbuses are generally equipped for the transportation of wheelchairs. The door for wheelchair access has a corresponding symbol.
• The Postbus between St. Moritz and Lugano has an integrated lift that is operated by the driver (no advance notice required). This is marked as HL in the SBB timetable.

• Small dogs up to 30 cm are free of charge if they remain in a transport container for the entire journey. This must be pushed under your seat.
• Dogs without a container and all dogs over 30 cm shoulder height require a valid dog ticket: half the price of 2nd class or the minimum fare (Dog Day Pass, Dog Pass). They must sit under the seat so that the passageway is not blocked for other passengers.
