Ticket Rickenbach - Rotenflue (Mythen region)

From Rickenbach, take the cable car via the Rätigs middle station up to the Rotenflue. The cable car takes you up around 800 meters in 18 minutes. The Rotenflue is a popular starting point for hikes on the Grosser Mythen. There is an easy circular trail for families on the Rotenflue.

There are two restaurants on the Rotenflue: the Gipfelstubli and the Berggasthaus. The Gipfelstubli is open in summer from May to October when the cable car is in operation. The Berggasthaus is located a little below the Rotenfluebahn mountain station and is also open when the ski lifts are in operation.

Hike to the Grosser Mythen: From the Rotenflue you walk along an easy hiking trail (T1) for about 30 minutes to the Holzegg pass. From here, the trail becomes more difficult (T3). You hike over 47 steeply ascending hairpin bends to reach the Grossen Mythen.

Panoramic circular trail on the Rotenflue: The panoramic circular trail on the Rotenflue is a leisurely walk for the whole family. It starts and ends at the Rotenfluebahn mountain station. There are two barbecue areas along the way where you can take a break.

• Hiking time: 40 min (short circuit) or 50 min (via Stägleren)
• Distance: 1.6 km or 2.3 km
• Both paths are easy to walk
