Lukmanier Postbus pass ride from Disentis

The Postauto of line 481 operates the Lukmanier Pass route. Starting from Disentis, the journey initially follows the hilly Val Medel. The Vorderrhein river accompanies you, sometimes on the left, later on the right side in the direction of travel. The Vorderrhein is dammed at Lai da Sontga Maria at the Lukmanier Pass. The pass elevation is 1920 m above sea level.

A stop at the Postauto stops Acla or Pardatsch is worthwhile. Here you can reach a viewpoint that offers a good view of the waterfall "Cascada Fimatsch." From Lukmanierstrasse, the path to the viewpoint is signposted.

If you want to take your bike on the postal bus, please note the following regulations:

• Check the online timetable or app to see if a route with a bike symbol is shown
• In that case, please purchase a reservation ticket for your bike in addition to the regular ticket

• Postal buses are generally equipped for transporting wheelchairs. The door for wheelchair access is marked with a corresponding symbol.
• The postal bus between Disentis and Lukmanier Pass has an integrated lifting platform operated by the driver (no prior reservation needed). This is indicated as HL in the SBB timetable.

• Small dogs up to 30 cm carry-on are free if they stay in a transport container for the entire journey. This must be pushed under your seat.
• Dogs without a container and all dogs over 30 cm shoulder height need a valid dog ticket: half the price of second class or the minimum fare (dog day pass, dog pass). They must sit under the seat to avoid blocking the passage for other travellers.
