The Gelmerbahn at a glance One of the steepest funicular railways in Europe: that is the Gelmerbahn, with a maximum gradient of 106 per cent. In twelve minutes it climbs up to the Gelmersee at 1860 metres. The open single-cabin funicular is regarded as a feat of engineering. It runs from June to October and combines thrills with a nature experience.
