About this place
Every summer, the upper and lower floors are restaged with a selection of works from the collection. This makes the collection, comprising around 21,000 paintings, drawings, photographs, videos, sculptures and installations, accessible to the general public. Until mid-2026, abstraction dominates the museum spaces. In the second half of the year, well-known artists from Louise Catherine Breslau to Ferdinand Hodler and Caspar Wolf will once again enter into a refined dialogue with the art of the 20th and 21st centuries.
