About this place
With the collection of the Zurlauben family and the holdings from the Muri and Wettingen monasteries, the cantonal library has 1255 manuscripts and several thousand old printed works. The partial estate of the playwright Frank Wedekind (1864-1918) includes handwritten poems, draft plays, publishing contracts and letters, as well as the collection of advertising copy that Wedekind wrote for the soup producer Julius Maggi.
