About this place
In Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland, the former army pharmacy (now owned by the municipality under a building right agreement) gave rise to the «Seilbahn Museum Schweiz», which is devoted entirely to the history, development, construction and operation of Swiss mountain railways and cableways. The museum is being continuously developed in the indoor spaces and on the outdoor site. Special exhibitions on cableway-specific topics are also planned for the future. It is already worth a visit!
