St. Beatus Caves at a glance St. Beatus Caves are among the largest developed caves in Switzerland. They lie above the Thunersee. Around one kilometre of the giant cave system is accessible and lit in an atmospheric way. The temperature in the mountain is eight to ten degrees Celsius, with high humidity. The cave path is not wheelchair accessible.
