The residential museum in the historic Phönix house takes you into the living world of a doctor’s family around 1900. On the second floor, you’ll find historic salons furnished in 19th-century style. The former stable building, Remise, explores the history of the region on the Untersee and its connection to Reichenau Monastery, with a focus on viticulture, fishing and bird hunting. Temporary art exhibitions are shown on the upper floor. An event room on the ground floor and a rose garden complete the offer. The museum is centrally located in Ermatingen and, with its different exhibition areas, offers a varied cultural experience in Thurgau. The Phönix house makes its historic salons available for meetings, conferences or civil weddings. Group tours of the museum are also available on request.
