Balmhornhütte

Here you will find a staffed SAC hut at 1956 m at the north-facing foot of the Balmhorn. It sits high above the Gasterntal, near Kandersteg. The hut offers 20 sleeping places in three rooms. One room also serves as a lounge and dining room. Duvets are available, and behind the hut there is a toilet with washing facilities and cold running water. From Kandersteg, a red-and-white mountain path leads to the hut. It is suitable for sure-footed walkers without a fear of heights, and in early summer you should take account of the snow conditions.
