Fromatthütte

Here you’ll find the SAC Wildhorn’s own Fromatthütte above Blankenburg near Zweisimmen. It lies on the Fromatt Alp in the Spillgerten nature reserve. The hut was built in 1970 and offers two large dormitories with 20 places in total. You cook and heat with wood, and a solar installation provides light. In summer, hikes, climbing tours, bike trips and plant and wildlife watching are all possible. In winter, it is suitable as a base for ski and snowshoe tours. The hut is not staffed and operates as a self-catering hut. From the end of June to September, a hut team looks after guests at weekends.
