About this place

The Glasi Museum “Vom Feuer geformt” is dedicated to the history of glass and Glasi Hergiswil. Staged rooms describe the development of the craft and the company’s economic ups and downs. The exhibition «Phänomenales Glas» includes around 70 hands-on experiments with glass, a park with a marble run, marble game areas and a quartz sand pit. The archive holds a systematic collection of Hergiswil glass since 1817, with a focus on series glass from 1900-1974, as well as the complete Roberto Niederer collection. New in the Glasi experience world is the only glass labyrinth in Switzerland, waiting to be discovered. An experience you can walk through and touch, expressing the fascination of glass. Visitors are not just spectators, they take part and immerse themselves in a world of glass. A special light show and specially composed Glasi music set the scene for this unique experience.
