About this place

The journey itself, with all the cable-car installations, is an experience. From Verbier, you use four lifts to reach the summit; from Siviez, there are three, and Siviez is served by bus from Haute-Nendaz. The last 400 metres over the glacier to the 3329-metre-high Mont Fort are also covered by cable car from Col des Gentianes. On the summit stands a cross, opening up views of a glacier and high-mountain landscape. The well-known sunrise rides to Mont Fort have a special appeal.
