About this place
In his work, the Canadian-Swiss artist Frédéric Cordier (*1985) explores the profound changes to landscapes brought about by human intervention. Conceived as “contemporary capriccios”, his panoramas replace romantic ruins with skyscrapers, infrastructure and industrial architecture. In their monumentality and drawing precision, they reflect an engagement with the influence of human constructions on nature that is both critical and fascinated.
