Sulwald
About this place
The small, almost nostalgic cable car has existed since 1975 and is a special kind of «Bähnchen», linked to local life. The cable car takes you into a superb hiking area with a unique view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau trio in the Bernese Oberland. From here, you look into the valley of Grindelwald, to the Schynige Platte, deep into the Lauterbrunnen Valley and, of course, at the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau trio of the Bernese Oberland. If you want to explore the Alpine landscape, head up to the Sulseeli and the Lobhornhütte of the SAC, then continue on to the Sulegg (2413m). The Monster-Trotti (in winter, toboggan run) and a nature, legends and place of power trail are other highlights up here.
