Kunsthaus Grenchen

Kunsthaus Grenchen presents four to six temporary exhibitions each year, dedicated to individual artists or exploring current topics. Collaborations with other institutions, collection presentations and the national printmaking exhibition IMPRESSION are also part of the regular programme. The collection comprises around 17‘000 works: alongside painting and sculpture, printmaking by (inter)national artists is the real focus. A varied supporting programme and art education activities in the in-house studio accompany every exhibition. The stately Villa Girard (19th century), together with the 2008 extension (ssm architekten ag, Solothurn), forms a unique architectural ensemble. Located directly opposite Grenchen Süd station, the spacious foyer welcomes visitors and offers a café and museum shop for a refreshing break. Various rooms can be hired for private events.
