The day starts with a ride on a GoldenPass MOB panoramic train from Montreux or Zweisimmen. In Château-d’Oex, you will be introduced to the secrets of making alpine cheese. At the «Le Chalet» restaurant, the cheesemaker makes a «Le Chalet Bio» cheese over an open wood fire using 400 litres of fresh milk per day. In this rustic setting, you enjoy your delicious fondue. Upstairs in the restaurant, you will find the miniature railway layout of the GoldenPass MOB trains, which delights young and old alike. In the afternoon, you can visit the «Musée du Pays-d'Enhaut» museum free of charge, where you discover the treasures of local craftsmanship and the art of paper cutting. You also get 50% off admission to the highly interesting hot-air-balloon museum «Espace Ballon». The time for your return to your starting point or for continuing with the GoldenPass MOB trains is up to you. Reserving a seat is recommended, but not included in the price.
