Fifteen minutes by train from Lausanne, Musée Jenisch Vevey, the second-largest art museum in the canton of Vaud, presents in a neoclassical setting a rich programme of temporary exhibitions and a permanent painting display with works by Bocion, Courbet, Corot, Hodler, Vallotton, Picasso and Morandi. The museum also houses an exceptional collection of works on paper, including in particular the Cabinet cantonal des estampes, with 35'000 works from the Renaissance to the present day by artists such as Dürer, Rembrandt, Tiepolo, Goya, Bonnard, Degas and Warhol, making it one of the five most important print collections in Switzerland. It also preserves the world’s largest collection of works on paper by the expressionist Viennese artist Oskar Kokoschka, as well as a collection of more than 10'000 drawings.
