The fairy grotto at a glance The fairy grotto lies above Saint-Maurice in Valais and is considered the first grotto in Switzerland open to tourists. Since 1863, an illuminated path has led into the mountain through a winding gallery. At the end of the tour, an underground lake and a 50-metre-high waterfall await visitors.
