Guided tour of Heidi's home in the Heidi Village in Maienfeld

Discover the original setting of the world-famous story of Heidi. Based on this tale, 12 feature films, 4 musicals, and 8 animated films have been made. Here, you’ll dive into the famous Heidi myth and explore the world of 1880.

The tour starts at 10:45 AM at the village shop in the Heidi Village. From here, you will first walk through the Heidi Village. Your guide will share many exciting details about the small village of 1880, giving you a chance to experience life back then.

Next, you will visit the famous Heidi House, the village school, and the Alpine cabin. Here, you'll discover more original locations that immerse you in the Heidi myth. Check out straw beds and cooking spots with cast iron kettles over an open fire.

The tour ends at 12:00 PM. After the tour, you have the opportunity to individually visit all the other buildings in the Heidi Village.

Practical Information:

• The tour is aimed at adults, but children from 8 years are welcome.
• Address for navigation to the Heidi Village parking lot: Bovelweg 16 in Maienfeld.
• Not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers.
• Minimum number of participants is 4 (final decision by 4:00 PM the day before; cancellation will be communicated by email no later than 5:00 PM).
